MEETING FIRST TUESDAY OF FEBRUARY,APRIL,JUNE,AUGUST,OCTOBER and DECEMBER. VFW POST 8006, Florence, MA

 

 

April:

 

NEB 12th, Dudley, Mass., 4th annual Symposium, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM @ Nichols College

Registration, $20.00 per person, Major’s Deadline date to register is March 24th.

“No Walk-ons”, In Uniform, No weapons.                                           MIWA

May:

NEB 2, 3, 4th, Lincoln, R. I., 4th Annual N. E. B. Camp of Instruction. Activities will include  plenty of Company, Battalion drill, group talks, lectures, programs as well as operating camp duties. Civilian activities as well. Something for everyone. Civilian and Military life in the American Civil War. Refresh your knowledge and renew acquaintances.                              

  Registister with Major, $8.00 per person under 12 free.

  5th, Belchertown, Mass., High School History & Social Studies class presentation, 7:30 AM at back ball field, possible. Various topics presented of the Common C.W. Soldier, Small camp setup. Potential 200-400 visiting students. November:

O11th,, Northampton, Mass., Veteran’s Day Observance, Because it’s Sunday they’ve move the start up time to 12:00 PM due to conflict of church times. Meet at Lampron Park on Bridge St. (Rte 9) heading into Northampton in front of Grammar School and Bridge St. Cemetery. Near Fairground entrance. Parade ends at Pulaski Park; 1 miler. Arrive at formation area for 11:00             AM, Lt. Page wishes to drill and prepare. Form up is 11:30 AM.

Following ceremony collation is held at the WWII Club on Conz St.

Clean uniform and polished brass to show your respect for our Veterans.

The Veterans council urge all Veterans to proudly wear your service medals.
